Merry Christmas!

Gigi and Pop-Pop came to celebrate with us.  The kids had a blast.  Brody was soooo excited for Santa to come.  The look on his face when we told him that Santa comes down through the chimney was priceless. He looked at us perplexed and said "wait! he comes through the fireplace?!" haha i wish I had gotten that on video.

This was our trip to go visit Santa.

 Not the greatest Santa pic but at least there were no tears this year!!

Here is a pic from Christmas Eve ... hard to believe this is the best one I took -- no smiles -- more like blank stares!

Christmas morning we took our annual photo at the top of the stairs. Brody was so excited he would barely sit still!

 The present opening begins!!  Santa left Brody a Santa hat. He loved it!!

 Brody asked Santa for a motorcycle.  He was thrilled when he got his "motorcycle bike" -- a balance bike to help him learn to ride a 2 wheeler.  He also got some other motorcycle toys, but these seemed to pale in comparison to the bike.  He loves the helmet too.

 Christmas was full of yummy food, and lots of cookies and fudge. Way too much cookies and fudge -- I'm still eating it! ha.

Gigi and Pop ended up cutting their vacation with us short.  They got a call from a neighbor that an alarm was going off in their house (it had been going all day).  Dad was worried so they made the drive back to NY Christmas night.  It turned out to be the smoke alarm -- we think the battery was low and it just kept going off.  Luckily this didn't happen on Christmas Eve!! It was a bit of a chaotic ending to a fun holiday celebration.  But, the early departure was probably a blessing in disguise b/c they missed all the yucky snow and ice that came down the next morning (when they originally planned on leaving)!
