We had a very busy weekend - we took our first road trip as a family of four! I'm happy to report the traveling went off without a hitch. We left for Tabor on Wednesday night (a super good move b/c we avoided the holiday traffic and got there in 5.5 hours!!). And the best part is that b/c it was bed time for the kiddos, and ava loves the vibration of the car, the two of them slept the ENTIRE way! Pure bliss.
Our weekend was full of family and fun. Big Daddy, Big Grandmama, Aunt Jenny, Uncle Jake, & Jax, and Aunt Linda & Uncle Chuck all got to meet Ava for the first time.

We were able to spend both Friday and Saturday at Myrtle Beach. We got lucky and had some great weather. Brody wasn't a big fan of the ocean on the first day, he was too busy building sand castles to be bothered with the water. But, on Saturday I was able to convince him to "jump the waves" with me. He LOVED that game and soon seemed to be fearless.

After all the beach fun, Big Daddy and Jeremy wanted to take Brody out on the four-wheeler. As you can see by the pic below, Brody really wasn't feeling it. Maybe next time.
It was a fun holiday weekend and a good start to the summer!
